About Me
I graduated college with a bachelor’s in Special Education and minor in American Sign Language and spent the past five years teaching students K-12 with significant support needs. For the past two years, I taught in Douglas County School Districts' Bridge Transition Program to increase young adults’ independence, daily living skills and pre-employment skills. I received the 2022 Apple Finalist Award for my dedication to teaching 18-21-year-old students with significant support needs.Throughout my time within the school system, I found there to be a lack of services to support young adults’ health and wellness. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and strong in their own skin, but navigating how can be overwhelming. I completed specialized courses to become a SE Adaptive Special Needs Master Trainer to start a change and empower adults with neurodiversities in our community!
